About the Author

The author’s unique writing draws from a diverse wealth of experience. His career began with his military service following college. He later founded a national real estate development company and designed numerous commercial and residential developments in partnership with Fortune 500 companies and served as a consultant for the City of Chicago on their redevelopment of Chicago’s celebrated Navy Pier.

He would go on to use this experience to become an advisor to the government of Panama and the Inter-Oceanic Regional Authority (ARI) on the reversion of the Panama Canal and the Canal Zone. His research helped facilitate ownership of this historic and immense military complex from the United States to the Republic of Panama. Working on the ground in Panama and in conjunction with top government officials, he developed a plan for the conversion of Fort Clayton, Headquarters of the U.S. Army Southern Command, from military to civilian use, and created a Master Plan for the uses and marketing of the facility.

His wealth of experience would eventually lead him into the field of philanthropy and international development, spending a considerable amount of time in Washington, D.C. He became a founding Director of a non-profit 501c3 whose vision sought to address education deficiencies in Central America. As Chairman of the Board of Directors, he worked closely with local and municipal governments, banks, and universities while building a network of multilateral institutions such as USAID, the U. S. State Department Global Technology Corps, the U. S. Embassy, The United Nations Development Program (UNDP), the Inter-American Development Bank (lADB), the Organization of American States (OAS), and the World Bank, as well as private corporate partners such as Microsoft, Apple, Federal Express, Technasa, Morgan & Morgan, and Integrated Computer Technology. In 2004, the non-profit’s success was headlined on Panamanian news. The pilot program was eventually transferred to the Ministry of Education and became the prototype for Microsoft’s Footprints Across Latin America.

He is the father of two sons, both writers of non-fiction, and currently resides with his wife in Naples, Florida.
